Data Deletion

How to remove local PawSignal data and request deletion of backend purchase, entitlement, commercial, or event data.

PawSignal stores most journal information locally on your device. Some backend data may exist when you use AI analysis, purchases, subscriptions, credits, ads, support, or commercial event sync.

Delete Local App Data

To remove local PawSignal data from a device:

  1. Use any in-app delete controls available for pet profiles, journal entries, or app data.
  2. Remove the PawSignal app from your device if you want to clear app-managed local storage.
  3. Reinstalling the app may not restore local-only journal data unless a future cloud sync feature is explicitly added.

Local data may include pet profiles, photo paths, analysis history, assistant messages, feedback, credits, entitlement cache, purchase receipt cache, growth events, experiment assignments, and app settings.

Request Backend Data Deletion

Email support@pawsignal.xyz with the subject “PawSignal Data Deletion Request”.

Include:

  • Your device platform: iOS or Android.
  • The email address we should use for follow-up.
  • Your PawSignal anonymous app identity if the app exposes it.
  • Any purchase transaction context if your request involves subscriptions or credits.
  • A short description of the data you want deleted.

What Backend Data May Exist

Backend data may include:

  • AI request metadata needed for operation and abuse prevention.
  • Purchase receipts, product IDs, transaction IDs, entitlement records, and credit grants.
  • Coarse product events such as analysis completed, paywall shown, purchase completed, credit spent, and rewarded ad status.
  • Support messages you send us.

What We Cannot Do

We cannot cancel subscriptions directly inside App Store or Google Play on your behalf. You must cancel through the store account used for purchase.

We may need to retain limited records where required for fraud prevention, payment reconciliation, legal compliance, tax, dispute handling, or security.

Response Time

We aim to review deletion requests within 3 business days and complete valid requests within a reasonable period after verifying the request.

Store Data

App Store and Google Play maintain their own purchase, subscription, and refund records. PawSignal cannot delete records that are controlled by Apple or Google. Use your store account settings to manage store-held purchase history, subscriptions, and refunds.
